An opportunity exists for a self-motivated, qualified Maintenance Fitter with suitable food industry experience to support our Maintenance team on a Full Time - Permanent basis.
Based in Koroit, this role will primarily focus on general, preventative and breakdown maintenance across our 24/7 production cycle, troubleshooting and fault finding for on-site plant and equipment, as well as participate in a wider team and comply with company values, legislation and procedures.
In addition, the Maintenance Fitter will be responsible for ensuring consumable stocks are maintained at certain levels and will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, to enhance productivity, efficiency and profitability of the plant

Additionally you will have:
- Trade qualification (fitter and turner) with minimum 3 years’ experience
- D-Class license and fork lift license, desirable but not essential
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment (desired)
- Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic operations, TIG, MIG and stick welding, in particular with stainless steel
- Strong knowledge of various maintenance methods and the ability to investigate problems, determine and implement root cause corrections
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to communicate cross functionally
