Unit Supervisor - Lactorferrin and Sachet

The opportunity

We are currently seeking a motivated and personable Unit Supervisor to join us at Koroit. The overall job purpose is to supervise the day to operation of Lactoferrin and the Sachet production line, ensuring the safety of operational employees and the efficient manufacture of Lactoferrin and milk powder product to the required quality standard. As Unit Supervisor you help to develop a strong sense of teamwork and accountability within the operational employee teams.


Duties include:

  • Ensuring all checks, process variables and daily manufacturing practices are recorded and documented by reviewing and signing off log sheets
  • Maintain cost of quality to site targets
  • Liaise closely with the technical team to ensure product integrity is maintained at all times
  • Work, when required, with corporate team members to make system changes
  • Ensure that operators comply with all safety procedures
  • Liaise with Quality staff over the revision of HACCP plans for the Lactoferrin and Sachet plants
  • Liaise with the Training Coordinator and Quality staff in scheduling training over Quality procedures and initiatives for operators

Additionally, you will have:

  • Certificate IV level or above qualifications in business, management, food science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Significant experience in leading small teams
  • Several years experience in manufacturing or related industry highly advantageous
  • Highly skilled communicator
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice
  • Knowledge of managing performance to set KPIs
  • Ability to manage budget
