Maintenance Electrician

The opportunity/team


We are currently seeking a qualified Maintenance Electrician at  Bega NSW. You will be responsible for carrying out the installation and maintenance of a range of automated electrical equipment in a continuous process food production environment. Bega Cheese prides itself on employees working together to nurture a seamless 24 hour high performance  team environment.  Hours of work will be 12 hr day and night shifts, 4 x on 4 x off with weekend work on a rolling roster.


To be successful in this role

Additionally, you will have:             

  • A current Qualified Supervisor certificate  (please attach a copy to your application)
  • Experience with a broad range of electrical equipment, such as; instrumentation, SCADA pneumatics, robotics, communications and IT
  • Knowledge of a CMMS, MEX preferred, following inventory management procedures to ensure adequate spare parts are kept on sight
  • Experience with Machinery Safety and any registered certification
  • Experience in the prompt rectification of production breakdowns
  • The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of food safety, HACCP principles and GMPs
  •  A motivated, focused, self-starting team player with a "can do" attitude
  • Demonstrable excellence in interpersonal skills and working in a team environment
  • A commitment to punctuality and reliability
  • Able to work 12 hr shifts and weekends..
